Lifemoves has announced progress on two new Homekey communities aimed at supporting families and individuals experiencing homelessness in Santa Clara County.

The organization said it has been awarded state Homekey funding, in partnership with the County of Santa Clara, to build and operate Homekey Santa Clara. The site will feature 30 units with private bedrooms and is expected to serve up to 120 parents and children. Lifemoves said it will provide services including housing navigation and education at the new facility.

According to Lifemoves, “This milestone expands our growing network of Homekey communities—we’re building brighter futures for families across Silicon Valley.”

At LifeMoves Branham Lane in San Jose, which opened in February 2025, the organization reports that it has already welcomed 187 residents. The community offers intensive case management, employment and benefits specialists, daily meal services, laundry facilities, amenities for pets such as dog showers and a dog run, a serenity room for quiet space, and a newly added food pantry.

“As the newest LifeMoves community, we’re seeing our clients taking promising steps towards a brighter future. Thanks to the dedication of our employment specialist, several clients have secured jobs, and others are actively connecting with the Office of Supportive Housing of Santa Clara County for housing opportunities. At LifeMoves Branham Lane, every small victory brings us closer to lasting stability for the people we serve,” Lifemoves said.

The organization said that these two communities represent its vision to expand housing options across Silicon Valley.
